When you are in love based thinking, you are not impatient.
Whenever you are impatient with another person you are turning your back on a teacher in your life. This does not mean that every teacher will act like a kind and compassionate guru.
In fact, some will appear to be on a mission to make your life miserable.
Remember:
There is not situation or person that separates you from loving.
There is no person who does not offer you the opportunity to
find love through offering it.
Even those whom you find most unbearable have something to teach you.
For example, perhaps the rude unfriendly person is here to teach you about kindness.
Obviously it is easy to be kind to someone who is courteous and warm,
but it is not so easy to extend yourself in kindness to someone who is yelling at you.
Be willing to be patient with all people in all circumstances.
This means that you are human and that impatience is part of being human.
However, you see the value to having the intention to extent empathy and compassion, because if you can do this you will automatically be patient.
The lessons of patience:
Whomever is in front of you is your teacher.
We are all teachers and students to one another.
Look to the heart of a person rather than to their behavior.
Be gentle with yourself and others and you will move much further and faster.
Walk when you could run.
Sit silently when you could stand and stew.
Listen when you could speak.
Heal when you could harm.
And remember, focusing on the present yields patience.
