"Go For It!"

"According to the laws of aerodynamics, the bumble bee cannot fly"

There are times when we must go beyond all logic and take a chance with what we feel.

There are the times when everything and everyone shouts "NO" at us
and yet something deep inside says,

"Go for it!"

We must go with our own convictions, our own inner voice, not our own conclusions.

Life is too short for us to be led
by the conclusions of others

when we do not agree that they are right for us.

When I think of my day today I am filled with all the energy and strength I need to follow my own path.

I am willing to take risks and find out for myself what works for me in my life.

Today I Choose to Feel Good.

"Consciousness is
like a river,
and your
whole self...
including every cell
of your body,
is continuously
being fed by it...

Just as your body lives
by the flow of blood
that carries

the substance of food
in every cell, so is your whole self being sustained through the substance of thought emanating from the flow of consciousness."
  Ramtha

Take a moment and think of someone you love.
FEEEL that thought with your entire body.
Take a moment to remember a time when you felt hurt.
FEEEL that with your entire body.
FEEEL the difference.
Know that you are choice.

Today I choose to FEEEL good.

Making This Season Mine and Special

12/24/2014

As the sounds of the holiday season surround me; so does the reminder of past memories, some painful memories that make me wish the season would pass by without my knowledge, without my participation.

Today I will make plans so that this holiday season will be mine and special.

I will decide what I would like this season to be.
If I want to surround myself with those I love,
I will plan get togethers that suit my needs.

If I want to be alone to contemplate the wonder of the season,
I will make specific plans to enhance the wonder.

I will ask my inner child for advice on how to make this season special.

I will not allow this holiday season to pass in indecision.
I will choose what is best for me.
I will rejoice in what makes me happy.

To Understand

"When you understand, you cannot help but love.
You cannot get angry.
To develop understanding, you have to practice looking at all
living beings with the eyes of compassion.
When you understand, you will love.
And when you love,
you naturally act in a way
that can relieve the suffering of people."

Personal Power & Needs Are Inseparable

12/22/2014

Widening our participation in the world around us,
we may assert both our power and our needs.

Growing up in a dysfunctional household
where one could not express their needs,

personal power was not able to develop as well as identifying needs.
One's desires are curbed and limited when family issues are before the child's needs.

The child then realizes they have limited possibilities.

As we move through the world as adults, recovering and understanding the dysfunction of our families, the world no longer becomes limited.

The world becomes limited-less.

We are no longer framed on a small canvas, but a large mural.
As the adult becomes aware of their needs, and those needs becomes more varied, we paint our mural
not just with primary colors,
we paint with all the colors of the rainbow.

Our personal power adds structure, focus, and knowledge to our vision of what the world can be for us.

As we move forward in our discovery, we present our inner child
with an exciting vision of the world that we had once observed.

We dare to express passionate desires and commit personal power to seeking our own fulfillment.

Unconditional Love

My inner child is strong and self confident.

She is in touch with her own thoughts and feelings.
She can think for herself and make her own decisions
.
I am proud of her abilities and so is she.
She is ready to go out into the world and I am ready to let her go.

Today I am giving her a big hug and a kiss and watch as she sets out on her journey through life.
I feel good because I know she will always come to me for comfort and advice.

She feels good because she knows I am always here for her whenever she needs rest, encouragement, and a hug.

We love each other unconditionally.

Forgiveness is a Choice

"Forgiveness is a gentle refusal to defend ourselves against love any longer.
It is a willingness to perceive everyone, including  ourselves,
as either expressing love or feeling a need for love."
~G. Jampolsky

When we can see everyone as expressing love or needing love, we come from a place of love ourselves.  With this in mind, if it feels as if someone has harmed us and we are willing to forgive them, we will feel love, not pain or anger.

As we grow, we know that we have a choice as to how to feel.  As we become more and more willing to let go of old grudges and resentments and not accumulate any new ones,
we experience how good it feels to feel love and we can choose this on a daily basis.

Experience Life with Joy

12/19/2014

"Transformation is a journey without a final destination."  Marilyn Ferguson

As long as we are willing and open to change, we keep growing and growing and growing.

We grow at different rates and come to different depths of truth and
peace and understanding.

Often when we have settled into
a time of understanding and serenity,

something new might appear
that stimulates new growth
and understanding.

To continue to experience life can be a great joy or a time of fear.

Here we can make the choice to
go with faith into the unknown
or continue to live with fear.
When you come to fear,
run at it as fast as you can.
Fear is only a feeling and when you meet that feeling head on, fear disappears.

To choose to let go of fear means accepting that we will never arrive at the place where we know everything.

As long as we are alive, there will be something new to learn, something new to experience.

"One thing I know:
The only ones among you who are really happy
are those who will have sought and found how to serve."

Albert Schweitzer

It feels so good to help other people and to
know that I have something to give them.
It feels so good to have turned my own life around
so that it can benefit others.
I continue to choose the path of peace, and love, and joy.

Today I can look back over my shoulder at my past.
With love in my heart,
I know that every moment of yesterday,
and each of those experiences of my life,
took me to today.

I will not judge or regret the past,

for my life has been necessary, valuable and significant.
Today I am experiencing all of my life.

I find it exciting to be alive in all of it's moments.
