We used to think that we would only feel peaceful
when everything about us was better.
And many of us found that time never seemed to come.
As soon as one problem was solved,
another would pop up to take its place and the old struggle and frustrations stayed alive.
The only way we seemed to be able to escape from all the chaos was to indulge ourselves,
to block out our feelings with something else.
Today we can create peace in our lives by meditating. Staying in the moment.
Accepting what is and letting our problems go to a place that we can return to, to tend to them.
Try meditating and staying still. Appreciate the sights and sounds around you, this minute. Name what you see in a whisper, name what you hear.
In this minute the world can stop, you may find peace by staying still.
